I think that there are ten things that are the most important ten things in every business. Maybe there are eight or twelve, but there are just a few that really make a difference.

Hello Everyone....Late again today as my nursing duties had to come first. Thanks to all of you that have sent your best wishes to Priscilla. She is doing great and will be home from the hospital on Sunday or Monday. Now for today's post. You can follow today's advice in all parts of your life. Try it at home. It works really well!

When I was at Disney we focused on the Four Guest Expectations and the Four Cast Expectations. I have written a whole chapter about this subject in my new book. This is one of those common sense issues that are not common place in many organizations today. Make them the foundations of your organization and watch your performance take off.

Hello Everyone...I am a bit late today on this post as I have been recording my book for the last three days for Random House Audio Books. It was complete and total torture. I found out how many words I don't pronounce properly. We finally got finished this afternoon. Right now I am at the hospital waiting for my wife Priscilla to come out of surgery. The doctor just gave me an update and all is well. Thank goodness for my trusty Day-Timer. I have been busier this week than anytime I can remember. By taking time to think and plan I am getting through the week pretty well.

We are so busy that we don't take the time to THINK. We just get up and go in the morning, and the next thing you know it is evening.

Good Day Everyone...Next Sunday, August 3, 2008 Priscilla and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Wow, how did that happen? Forty years really zipped by. I married a saint. I moved her around the world 11 times before settling down in Orlando fifteen years ago. We have lived in Washington DC, Chicago, New York, Tarrytown, NY, Los Angles, Lancaster, PA., Philadelphia, Rockville, MD., Springfield MA., Paris, Orlando. We enjoyed every city we lived in.

We often forget or underestimate what one person can do to make a big difference in other peoples lives. As a  business leader or as a good citizen leader each of us can make life a whole lot better for others. Are you doing enough?

For all of you out there remember that you can make reality fantastic for your customers and for your fellow associates. When things go wrong you can make them right quickly.

Go  out into your organization and make reality fantastic for every customer this week. Start this new habit and your business will thrive. When you do a great job, recessions are not as harsh.
