This letter I received from a Disneyland Guest shows why we don’t need employees of the month. We need employees of the moment! Make your employees your brand and they will Create Magic for your customers, each other and your bottom line.
Lee,
Thank you for writing such a wonderful book on creating magic. I just finished it and with great excitement to implement the strategies into my business and my work with clients.
Strangely I came across your book at Disneyland in Anahiem. Maybe that doesn’t seem strange to you, but I didn’t go to Disneyland to learn more about my business. I went to enjoy time with my family and sister’s family.
My family and I had a five day pass. After a few days of enjoying the magic I started taking the magic apart to see how it works, how it ticks if you will. I was looking for the theme park music in the little bookstore. I almost ran into one of the Cast Members in the small store and excused myself for getting in the way. She replied,”No, excuse me. You’re my guest!” That statement took me by surprise. I turned around from that encounter and there on the shelf was your book, “Creating Magic”.
Thank you again for sharing your business and leadership experiences. Absolutely invaluable! Anyone in business, large or small should read this book!
All the best,
Michael
