A nice note from my son to his team at Epcot. That bike is over 30 years old and still going strong.
He is correct that Priscilla and I were more excited to get it for him and see the look on his face than he was receiving it. Giving really is more fulfilling than receiving, for me anyway.

A priceless opportunity
When I was in 5th grade, a Mongoose BMX bicycle was THE coolest gift in the whole world! I can still remember the thrill of riding it down our snowy street on that cold (10 degrees) Christmas morning all those years ago. And, now that I have a family of my own, I know my parents were probably just as excited to give me that bike, as I was to get it.
I flash back to that Christmas morning memory every year during the Toys for Tots drive, which runs through December 10. For more than 60 years, our company has partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation to ensure that deserving children across Central Florida have a new gift to open and a new memory to make during the holiday season.
As you shop for new unwrapped gifts for children ages infant – 15 years, let that “best-gift-ever” feeling guide you. That’s easy for me, because I still have my bike. It’s a “classic,” according to the bike repair shop that offered to buy it. It’s also a priceless reminder that good memories are blessings and the best gifts we can give.
